Experts to Discuss Current and Future Global Pork Markets at United Pork Americas Online Symposium

Lenexa, Kan., (May 19, 2022) – Swine industry leaders from across the globe will take part in the United Pork Americas Pre-Event Symposium titled “Global Markets: The Americas Opportunities for Future Advancements in Exports, Quality, Health and Profitability.” The session is scheduled for Wednesday, May 25, at 9 a.m. CDT. Registration is open and free to all industry stakeholders.

Symposium speakers include:

  • Richard Herzfelder, senior consultant for Gira Consulting and Research
  • Nathan Losey, grain and livestock analyst for AgResource Company
  • Jennifer Shike, editor of Farm Journal’s PORK magazine
  • Clinton Griffiths, host of AgDay and editor of Farm Journal magazine

“The Americas are positioned for incredible growth, technology adoption, export dominance and quality, health and safety advancements,” said Flavia Roppa, president of United Pork Americas. “This pre-event online symposium is just one of the ways United Pork Americas will identify and present the challenges and opportunities within pork production.”

The online symposium is designed to set the stage for a larger in-depth discussion at the United Pork Americas Conference, set for Sept. 7-9 in Orlando, Fla., which will be an unprecedented pork industry event bringing together producers, veterinarians, nutritionists, researchers and other pork industry stakeholders. The education-focused program will provide an opportunity to examine the future of pork production and will feature more than 40 internationally renowned speakers, global networking opportunities and new technologies to better understand the opportunities and challenges of global pork production.
