Sustainable Ag Data Strategist & Insights Storyteller

The Sustainable Ag Data Strategist & Insights Storyteller tells the story of data insights that is driving positive change in agriculture, supporting producers and partners across the agri-food value chain. They do this by working at the cutting edge of behavioral data, first party data and research.

We’re looking for a self-starter with proven ability to translate information into actionable insights and recommendations. Experience in (or a healthy respect of) agriculture sustainability, agriculture production, and data analysis is a must.

We’re a unique group of behavioral science, sustainable agriculture, and strategic communications experts revolutionizing how producers connect with the products, practices and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tell the story of the data – weave the golden thread of insights from the data, research, data science and analytics that provide knowledge and action points for our clients.
  • Develop and lead project work with a diverse array of clients, applying Farm Journal’s data, insights, and producer connections to create solutions that advance ag practices, products and services.
  • Work with the team to develop, design, implement, and analyze in-depth custom quantitative research projects with producers, ag retailers, and other key parts of the ag value chain.
  • Manage the full project cycle: scoping work, ensuring execution of project deliverables through deep internal collaboration, managing budget, presenting results, and staying in constant contact with clients to ensure success.

Skills Needed

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working with data and insights
  • Experience in Sustainable Agriculture
  • Superior presentation and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to forge deep, mutually respectful relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with primary research and data interpretation, including communication to non-technical stakeholders
  • Outstanding problem solving skills to propose solutions to scale and make a lasting positive difference for our nation’s food supply and the farmers who produce it
  • Superb time management and ability to prioritize
  • Excellent organizational skills
