Search & Social Media Marketing Manager

Farm Journal is looking for a Search & Social Media Marketing Manager to drive channel marketing campaigns across key audiences. The ideal candidate will develop cross-channel campaigns and create audience growth strategies supported by Farm Journal’s Owned and Operated channels.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of channel marketing experience leading efforts for consumer facing technology products/services, specifically with Google Adwords, retargeting, and video/display capabilities. You will need to prioritize effectively in a fast-moving and ever-changing environment, communicating clearly and persuasively. You will quickly develop data-driven plans and execute across many channels simultaneously. This is a visible position that will interact at all levels of the company. We are looking for a relentless, customer-obsessed, and business-minded marketer with a penchant for invention, connecting with customers and delivering results, all while being up-to-date on search and social media trends, reporting including GA4, and the ability to regularly and comfortably present data to management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
These duties include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
  • Design and implement search marketing strategy
  • Set specific objectives and report on ROI and KPIs
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
  • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Collaborate with other teams, like marketing and sales to ensure brand consistency
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and sweepstakes
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
  • Manage Google AdWords
  • YouTube advertising and reporting

Skills/Professional Experience
These qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Adwords, YouTube, and Meta
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs
  • Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation
