Sales Assistant Project Manager

OVERVIEW

Farm Journal Media is in search of a Sales Assistant Project Manager to support the Director of Business Development and Enterprise Account Directors. The ideal candidate is fast, accurate, intelligent and takes personal ownership of work products, manages multiple timelines and priorities simultaneously, and operates with limited oversight. The ideal candidate must possess excellent computer skills (especially MS Excel and PowerPoint), some accounting and financial analysis experience, and a natural eye for detail, organization, and presentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
These duties include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The Sales Assistant Project Manager will work closely with senior level sellers to handle all aspects of organizing and enhancing the efforts of our sales organization. Responsibilities include customer service, assisting in proposal creation, handling multiple projects at one time, and coordinating inter-departmental communication activities along with external client contact.

Skills/Professional Experience
These qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Familiarity with CRM software
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills specifically in Excel and Word.
  • Must possess a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency and responsiveness.
  • Proven superior organization and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate sensitive and/or complex information in a confidential and effective manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a highly dynamic organization, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable in a highly-accountable organizational culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Must be a creative problem solver, and able to handle a demanding workload and work independently.
  • Must have a Proactive attitude about the office as well as an intuitive quality for decision making.
