EVP, Digital

Location - Remote

Farm Journal is seeking an innovative and results-driven EVP, Digital to lead our digital transformation strategy and drive growth across our digital ecosystems, including managing our online marketplaces. The ideal candidate will combine visionary leadership with a strong understanding of technology, digital commerce, and marketplace management. They will be responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive digital strategy, enhancing customer experiences, and leveraging data-driven insights to ensure sustainable success in a competitive digital landscape.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
These duties include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Digital Strategy and Transformation

  • Develop and execute a forward-thinking digital strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, customer engagement, and competitive advantage.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and trends to identify growth opportunities and innovate within the digital space.

Marketplace Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end management of the company’s online marketplaces, ensuring they achieve revenue and performance targets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand marketplace reach, increase customer acquisition, and optimize product listings and pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to enhance marketplace operations and ensure seamless customer experiences.

Customer Experience and Engagement

  • Enhance digital customer experiences by leveraging data and analytics to understand customer behavior and improve personalization.
  • Lead the development of omnichannel strategies to create seamless integration between digital and physical touchpoints.

Data and Analytics

  • Establish a data-driven culture by implementing advanced analytics and insights to drive decision-making across all digital initiatives.
  • Ensure the effective use of data to optimize marketplace performance, monitor KPIs, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Build and lead a high-performing digital team, including marketplace specialists, digital marketers, and technology experts.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure digital initiatives are integrated across the organization.
  • Serve as a digital advocate within the executive team, influencing key stakeholders and aligning resources.
  • Fosters an environment of cohesiveness, caring, and collaboration with colleagues across all Farm Journal departments, living out our tagline: “No One Grows Alone.”

Skills/Professional Experience
These qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • A deep appreciation and passion for serving farmers, ranchers, growers, agribusinesses, and food companies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior digital leadership role, such as Chief Digital Officer, VP of Digital Strategy, or similar.
  • Demonstrated success managing online marketplaces, e-commerce platforms, or similar revenue-generating digital ecosystems.
  • Strong background in digital transformation, data-driven decision-making, and customer experience optimization.

  • Expertise in marketplace operations, digital marketing, and technology platforms.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in leveraging analytics tools and CRM platforms to drive business insights.

Work authorization requirements:
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
