Account Executive, Trust In Food

Trust In Food is looking for a dynamic, high performing Account Executive to grow engagement with our rapidly expanding, purpose driven brand. This position requires a self-starter who can independently prioritize a sales/execution process involving multiple business objectives and solutions across several product lines. A sales background with an advanced grasp of the agricultural value chain and sustainability is an absolute must. This position supports new business development and revenue generation for Farm Journal’s division focused on regenerative, sustainable, and conservation agriculture across the value chain, from farmer to consumer, and everyone in between.

This position is responsible for delivering Trust in Food’s capabilities to help food companies, agribusinesses, nonprofits, and government agencies looking to engage farmers and influencers in sustainable agriculture. A successful candidate will be one who is high energy, self-motivated, flexible, and goal driven. Dynamic communication, organization and presentation skills are a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility for sales metrics within assigned territory
  • Creation of presentations, proposals, and other sales collateral to support closure
  • Collaboration with a cross-functional team to achieve team sales goals
  • Independent prioritization of day-to-day execution of the sales and post-sale execution process
  • Supporting the Directors of Strategic Partnerships in building, fostering, and managing relationships with potential clients and applicable prospects- deeply engaging with these organizations to predictively identify needs
  • Independently qualifying leads for sales of multiple product lines
  • Prioritization of sales pipeline, and conducting research on industry and market trends

Desired characteristics/qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of professional sales experience, in an ag or sustainability related revenue generation role, with top tier, quantifiable results
  • Graduate with an Agronomic, Sales, or Marketing-related bachelor’s degree
  • Proven ability to excel in a self-guided, independent work environment
  • Passionate about agriculture, sustainability and farming; a desire to put the farmer first
  • A willingness to work in a fast-paced, competitive environment where sales achievement will be directly rewarded
  • Willingness to travel 10%+ of time
  • Team Player. Belief that communication, collaboration and accountability are keys to being a great teammate.
