Farm Journal Names Doug Edge to Lead Revenue Development

Lenexa, Kan., (Nov. 3, 2020) — Farm Journal announced today that Doug Edge has been named senior vice president, revenue development for the company. In this new role, he will manage the producer sales groups with direct responsibility for crop sales while also providing strategic leadership to sales and business development groups and serving on the company’s executive committee.

“Our customers see Doug’s unique and proven sales experience as a ‘secret weapon’ to unlock insights and use data-driven research and market activation tactics to maximize sales,” said Mitch Rouda, chief strategy officer for Farm Journal.

Since joining Farm Journal in 2014, Edge has been central to the company’s work using data, research and informed intelligence to create results-based go-to-market solutions. Edge previously served as vice president, business development, where he worked closely with clients to capture market share and take new products to market. He also has been a key player in bringing new ideas to the market, like Farm Journal Field Days™  and the #FarmON™ Benefit Concert.

A graduate of the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Edge’s career spans more than two decades with a passion for entrepreneurialism, sales and business management in the broadcast, ag retail and technology industries. He and his wife Lisa raise crops and commercial sheep on their farm in central Indiana. He serves as vice chairman of the U.S. Hemp Growers Association, is on the board of Marion Manufacturing and is an active member of the National Agri-Marketing Association and National Association of Farm Broadcasting.
