Farm Journal Announces Alex Miller to Perform at #FarmONTM Benefit Concert for National FFA

Lenexa, Kan., (August 4, 2021) Farm Journal announced today that American Idol contestant and rising country music star Alex Miller will perform as part of the 2021 #FarmONTM Benefit Concert during Farm Journal Field DaysTM. Proceeds from this second annual benefit concert will go to the National FFA Foundation. Highlights from the concert will air in prime time on Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, from 7 to 8 p.m. CDT, on RFD-TV and stream on other online and social networks.

Miller had the opportunity to perform and compete in American Idol’s Season 19. At only 18 years old and full of enthusiasm, Alex has been performing professionally since the age of 7. He has continued to earn himself a bigger name by performing traditional songs by George Strait and others. His talent is evident as he plays guitar, lap steel, ukulele, bass and banjo. Alex grew up in Lancaster, Ky., assisting his grandpa on his cattle farm as well as being an active member of the Garrard County FFA.

“We are honored to have an extremely talented and current FFA member as one of our featured performers for the 2021 #FarmON Benefit Concert,” said Charlene Finck, president of Farm Journal. “Having an FFA member perform at an event designed to support FFA members shows a true love for the future of agriculture from everyone involved.”

Miller is a champion of traditional country music and has been performing professionally since the age of seven. His career progressed steadily from shows in and around his hometown to larger markets and venues, including the Dolby Theatre, Lucas Oil Stadium, WoodSongs and Renfro Valley. With his debut single, “I’m Over You So Get Over Me,” already a fan favorite and receiving terrific response on radio, he’s well on his way.

The live concert is set for Thursday, Aug. 26, in Colby, Kan., and is available only to VIPs and those who register for the in-person Farm Journal Field Days event in Colby, Kan., the following day.
