Certis Biologicals Joins America’s Conservation Ag Movement

Lenexa, Kan., (June 2, 2021) Trust In Food, a Farm Journal initiative, announced that Certis Biologicals has joined America’s Conservation Ag Movement.

Certis Biologicals, formerly Certis USA, is a leading manufacturer and registrant of biopesticides with innovative technologies and production expertise spanning from fermentation to formulation. It maintains the largest number of global registrations of biological products, which are sold in the U.S. and exported to more than 50 countries worldwide.

“It is an honor to welcome Certis Biologicals as a Foundational Partner of America’s Conservation Ag Movement, and it is especially fitting that we’re making this announcement on the eve of World  Environment Day,” said Amy Skoczlas Cole, executive vice president, Trust In Food. “Certis brings its expertise in biopesticides and, more broadly, as an innovative agribusiness dedicated to a more sustainable future for food and agriculture. Nature-based solutions for some of the most challenging issues facing agriculture, such as pest management, are essential to the future of a resilient food and agriculture system with a lower environmental footprint.”

America’s Conservation Ag Movement joins farmers and the sustainability community together around the future of farming by bringing profitable, planet-friendly farming practices into the mainstream. The public-private partnership connects the dots, giving farmers a platform to share their journeys, meet other farmers on the same path and access the resources they need to undertake change. The Movement is organized by Trust In Food in partnership with the Farm Journal Foundation. Financial and technical support is provided by USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service and leading agribusinesses, food companies and nonprofit organizations.

“As Certis rebrands under the name Certis Biologicals and celebrates its 20th anniversary, we can’t think of a more fitting step than joining America’s Conservation Ag Movement,” says Amy O’Shea, CEO, Certis Biologicals. “The commitment of the Movement and its many partners to advancing sustainable agriculture through innovation and new technology — all centered on the economic and environmental well-being of U.S. farms and ranches — aligns precisely with the objectives of Certis Biologicals. We look forward to helping all U.S. producers through this program, including the specialty crop market we have served for many years as well as markets in which we are growing, such as row crops.”
